Who is Griffin Royalty

I'm a conversation starter.

Born in California and raised in Las Vegas, where I’ve called home since I was 10 years old. I’ve always wanted to travel and see the world but never had the courage to actually leave. With so many beautiful places in this world I started imagining how I could get to as many of them as possible! At 18 I was given my very first ‘real’ camera and off I went to burn through several rolls of film as I had no idea what I was doing. For the next several years I taught myself the ins and outs of photography with dreams that one day someone would actually want to pay for my work. At 24 I made the scariest and most exciting decision of my life and moved away from home for the first time. I didn’t just move across town, I moved to Alaska!  with my camera in hand I spent six months bartending on a passenger train, falling in love with myself and all of the pristine beauty Alaska had to offer. That experience was such a thrilling, yet humbling adventure that I decided to do it again at 25. Building on my first experience, the second time around two friends of mine stuffed as much as we could into a tiny Ford Focus, joined a caravan of 5 other cars and headed "North to the Future!" Since then I’ve visited most of the west coast states, Mexico and Canada and I've lived in St.Thomas, U.S.V.I and now currently residing in Salem, Oregon!

While traveling and exploring is quite thrilling there is a much simpler joy and gratitude that comes with being around friends and family capturing moments and telling the stories in the lives of others' happiness.
